32% of paper bags collected  

This program is led by A.D.I.VALOR and the Association for the Recovery and recycling of Seed Packaging (ARES), created under the initiative of the French Seed industry Union (UFS).

Since the launch of this program in 2012, the collection rate has grown steadily and reached 32% in 2019 (+ 2%), with a total of 900 tons of used bags collected. 

Almost 50% of the quantities collected were recycled in 2019, slightly down compared to 2018, due to difficulties in the recycling capacity available, as a consequence of the global crisis affecting the recycling of paper and cardboard. 

10 kilograms of recycled paper bags allow saving 10.4 kilograms of wood and 500 liters of water.
