Framework Agreement

Nathalie Kosciusko-Morizet, former Minister for Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transportation and Housing, and Jacques Dousset, former president of ADIVALOR, signed a new framework agreement on the 8th February 2011 for the period 2011-2015.

The first agreement was signed on the 1st October 2003 in order to encourage and sustain the collection and recycling initiative for phytosanitary products concerning agricultural professionals.
The updated framework agreement outlines the 2015 objectives and extends out to new schemes put in place in 2007: soil-enriching agent packaging, plastic films, seed packaging and dairy farming hygiene packaging.
The scheme’s results and targets for 2015 focus on the rate of collection and recycling. In the entire national scheme, ADIVALOR and its partners aim towards an average collection rate of 73% (46% in 2009) and a recycling rate of 95% (79% in 2009). The amount of recycled packaging and plastics should reach 60,000 tonnes in 2015 (18,500 in 2009).

The Ministry and ADIVALOR commit themselves to implementing a follow-up committee, which will be led by ADEME. This committee will be devoted to the modalities of putting the framework agreement into practice, as well as evaluating each respective organisation’s level of implementation  in the scheme at least once a year.
